Valcambi has for many years been one of the world’s largest manufacturers of cast bars and minted ingots. They produced the world’s first one ounce minted ingot. For almost 40 years Valcambi has been and still is the sole manufacturer of precious metal bars for Credit Suisse.

Minted Ingots

Minted ingots (sometimes called wafers) are cut from specially prepared rolled metal sheets. The ingots have a very high quality finish and are produced in the same facility as their minted coins.

Their standard minted ingots show Valcambi’s logo on both sides.

1. Security sealed in a PETG bag packed together with a cardboard certificate the size of a credit card (available only for gold ingots from 1gram to 100grams). This packaging system has been devised to provide superior protection against tampering and also offers an attractive presentation of the ingot.
2. Sealed in a PVC bag either with a separate certificate or sealed together with a certificate. The PVC bag is the packaging standard for gold bars and ingots in the 250-500 grams range (also for platinum, palladium, and silver).
